It will automatically allow you to create your avatar when you've reached 50 posts.

Now that I am certified wacko (some people already knew this!), I will try one of the system avatars and if this works, I will try my own in the future. :rolleyes:

Don't confuse the Avatar - displayed with your posts - with your picture - displayed in your profile when someone clicks on the sunglasses next to your post.

No, I wasn't confusing the two. I had put the link to my own little picture in the avatar section but it wouldn't work!! I see that it is working in the sunglasseses section. Is that small enough to use as an avatar? I got so frustrated that i closed it out and went to take a shower. Looks like it is working again - with the systems picture. I think that I will just leave it alone for a bit. At least I have that picture, even if it isn't my own. Thanks for your help!
