For the past couple of years, I have had a US Lighthouse Society passport. I picked it up while I was visiting the Point Pinos, CA lighthouse. It is fun to look through the book and see the stamps from the different lighthouses I have visited. While I was at the 1998 HL Reunion, I noticed a few people on the bus had the same passport. It was fun to compare books and see the different stamps from lighthouses that I had not visited yet.

If anyone is interested in obtaining one of the passport books, they are available for $7.50. This includes the passport, 2 sheets of stickers (to place by your name in the lighthouse guest book), and a sheet listing all the participating lighthouses, lightships, and museums. Once your book is filled, you can send it in for an embroidered patch that says,"I've Seen the Light". They will return your book with the patch.

To order, send a check for $7.50 to:

Thanks for the info Lorie Roe. I will just have to get a passport and start planning trips and getting the stamp sponge ready.

Something they mentioned in the latest US Lighthouse Society Bulletin is that if the lighthouse is closed or not participating, you can take a picture and put it in the passport and it counts as a "visit".
