Got a new cable modem and it's changing the way my browser works. It would let me post a new message but not a reply to an existing thread. Found out that it was there, but I have to hit reload to see the reply. With my old ISP it loaded automatically. Jim Johnson

Sounds like a caching issue. The 'old' or previous page is kept in a cache for quick access and the cache does not reflect the update immediately. When you reply the page is changed on JC's webserver, but the copy held in your ISP's cache is not updated right away. You may be going through what's called a 'proxy server' which can do caching.
Check w/ your ISP. Who's the cable provider?

Tim, the cable provider is Adelphia. I have also noticed when I go to a forum page with a new post, the light is on indicating the new post but when I open the thread, I have to hit reload to see the new post. Jim Johnson

Jim - go to Internet Options (under Tools)
On the general tab, click on "Settings" Under "Temporary Internet Files".
