Just one little error, Bill -- there is a blank space after the .jpg and before the [/img...

Just omit that space.

I do not want to make waves, but I do not seem to be the only one having had trouble posting pictures. I am not a computer expert but it seems there must be an easier way. I have some great pictures but I will not post them due to the complexity of the system. Art confused

Sorry Art - We went looking for a way to allow members to store and display images and found the one we're using now. I think when we upgrade the software, you may be able to cut and paste pictures into your message (don't hold me to that!!)

In the meantime, if you'd like me to personally walk you through the process, we can talk by phone.

email me if you'd like to do that.

We'd sure like to see your photos. Once you do the first one, you can save the link to your pictures and just substitute the new photo names in subsequent posts.

I'm involved with two other non-HL, non-lighthouse, related forums. They both have the easiest picture posting format I have seen yet. You go to their gallery section, you click on "Upload photos", it asks you to name the album, then all you have to do is click on "browse" and pick the photo from your own computer that you want to upload. After you pick the number of photos (9 or 10 at a time)you want to upload, you click on submit. Presto! Your photos are place in that album. There is also no limit to the number of photos or albums you can have. I thought that was pretty cool.

Bob, that's kind of the way it works on that other lighthouse site that I moderate. The photo has to be hosted somewhere on the internet, but if you don't have a web site of your own, you can easily upload to the site's gallery first and then add it to your post.

It will be a blessing if the new software will allow us to upload directly from our files, allowing more members to share their photos...with ease.

Art, I am looking forward to seeing your photos.

Judy
