When you click on the # of posts a person has, you get a list of the 50 most recent posts made by that person.

Below each person's post, you'll see the following:

Posts: XXXX

XXXX is the number of posts this person has made. Click on that number to see the list.

Very interesting... How did you happen to stumble on that little trick, JC? Is it new or was it always there and we just didn't know it?

I've figured that one out. I spend WAAAY too much time figuring these tricks out.

Here's one: click a person's username in that column to the left of their post to view their profile. Try it on me: click the word "seagirt" above my avatar.

A few nice little tidbits of information. I am constantly amazed at the information that we find on the forums. Thanks!

So how many lighthouses have YOU climbed? You can let everyone know by making it part of the 'my profile' area on the Collector Forums.

Start at the top of most any page here and you'll see this:

Click on the "my profile" link.

Now click on the "View/Update Profile" link.

Scroll down a bit and you'll see this area. You can enter the number of lighthouses you've seen here and keep it updated. If you are an AOL member or use the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) you can enter your buddy name. If you use ICQ ("I seek you"), you can enter your ICQ name here.

And you can enter your birthdate here. If, like me, you don't want your friends to know exactly how old you are, you can enter the correct day and month, and use "1900" as the year. smile

Reminds me of an old joke ...

I heard it attributed this way ... I'm sure it had many incarnations ...

Quote:

Ty Cobb was being interviewed at an Old-Timers Day event and was asked how he would fare if he played today ... His reply was he would probably hit .280-maybe 290..

Thinking this modest answer was out of character for the cantankerous all-timer, the reporter said "but you are the greatest hitter of all-time and this is the best you think you can do?"

To which Mr Cobb replied, "Yes, but remember ... I'm 85 years old."
... and it is snowing right now along the Central Jersey Coast ...

Look - up in the air, it's...

Nope that's not Superman and the place to look is 'down in the lower left corner' of any thread.

That's where you'll find the link to a 'printer-friendly view...'

Give it a try. It compacts the thread so it uses less paper while retaining the message contents. (eco-friendly, too.)
