If you haven't done so in awhile, stop by www.harbourlights.com and sign their guest book.

Here's the message I left:

"I really wish you would return the link to the Collector Forums at www.lighthousekeepers.com so new visitors can get to meet and converse with the connected collectors of the Harbour Lights family of friends."

Maybe if enough of us do that, consideration may be given to return the link to the Collector Forums. Usually Harbourlights sends an email reply to each person who signs their guest book. It will be interesting to see what they have to say.

Bob,

I took your advice and dropped my thoughts into the guest book.

See if it has any effect.

I had someone ask me at our last meeting of the Beacons of the Bay where the forums had gone. I gave him the URL. Can you explain why the disconnect happened?

Robert,

The reason we were given was that many of the Dealers complained due to the sales in the Old & New Marketplace.

They felt it was not fair to them - of course it's perfectly fair for some of the Dealers to break their contract with HL and sell much of their inventory on eBay (and possibly in the Marketplace) for less than retail.

We have passed our concerns on to HL- speciffically the situation you encountered- and so far they prefer the way it is now as to the way it was for years.

Shortsighted, but well within their rights.

I just got done putting my 2 cents worth in. Maybe for a Christmas present they will listen to their hard core collector base.

Rich cool

I am just wondering why Harbour Lights removed the link to the forum off their website yet the link to their website remains here on the forum home page?
