Here it is - February 12, 2002, and this is my 5,000th post to the Collector Forums.

I'd like to say how much I appreciate the people who have helped manage the Forums, the Saints and Cruise Directors, the Wackos and Newbies.

This thing couldn't operate with just one person in charge and I want to say thanks to all who come this way, those who contribute, those who ask questions and those who answer them and share their knowledge.

Those who we lovingly refer to as 'lurkers' are important too. And those who've dropped off the CF radar scope contibuted to the history of this interactive community of Lighthouse and Harbour Lights lovers.

For me, the greatest benefit of being here on the Collector Forums are the many, many friends I've made over the years. We sure have a good time when we get together -- but we also have a good time when we chat -- or when we just share a joke or two or a jab or two at each others' idiosyncrasies here on the forums.

Let me be the first to congratulate you John! I think I guessed later in the month for you to get #5000. I will probably not win! Keep up the great work! Here's to the next 5000!!!

Congratulations on that 5,000th post! You have shared much with all of us thru those posts. While you have thanked all the participants of the CF for helping to make them the great place they are, we all need to thank you for providing the CF and serving as the warden of them.

Hey there John...congrats on the milestone...just imagine though if you counted from the first time you started a chat forum about lighthouses...like when it was on AOL!! How long ago was that? I had joined that group one year but then lost contact. My guess it was in 1996?? Thanks so much for all you do for us here and at all the gatherings of us WACKO's...

Congratulations John and "Thank You" for the many hours of hard word and dedication to this site, Harbour Lights, the collectors and to lighthouses. It seems like many seasons ago when I first stumbled upon your original site. It has certainly blossomed over the years and I hope that I am around when you post your 10,000 post.
