Jake - first you've got to get them scanned. So you have an image file. For the Web, the best settings to use are 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch). Set the height or width (whichever is greater) to about 5" or 350 pixels.

At AOL you have a 'members area' on the Internet. Yours would be:

http://members.aol.com/fresnel10

Upload your scanned images to a folder you create within that personal site.

Then to post an image within a forum thread, you type in the following:

{img}http://memebers.aol.com/fresnel10/images/mypicture.jpg{/img}

EXCEPT that where I have the 'curly brackets' you type the square brackets. For images you must include the "http://" you can type a LINK to your picture like this:

{url}members.aol.com/fresnel10/images/mypicture.jpg{/url}

Also Jake (Stephen) you can set up an account at Photopoint.com (it's free) And it is an easy way to set up a online photo album and then you can link your images from there.
