In reference to Johns request to post links regarding the relisting of Macs on eBay I need some help.

I can not figure out how to post a URL link with a text instead of a link address showing.

Example: Instead of "http//www.somewhere.com" being displayed, I would like to hide the link under text such as "Link to eBay item"
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Roger

The easiest thing to do is to insert this code before the link:
[url=
add ] at the end of the link
type the text you want to appear in the link such as "lighthouse" (without the quotes). Add [/url] at the end of the text link.

ERT of 17 minutes smile Thanks to whoever sent this to me when I asked the same question!

This is my test link

Copy the link you want to use... Then:

Even easier... When you click on "New Topic" or "Post Reply", if you look below the text window, you'll see a button "URL". Click it...

Paste the link into the pop-up window. Hit ENTER and type in the words you want the link hidden behind. Hit ENTER again. Complete your posting and click on EDIT POST button.
