Is there any way to tell when a person has edited a post? Will it go back to the top of the Active Topics list??

You can't tell when someone has edited their own post and it stays in the same place... If a forum moderator edits someone elses post it will say edited by or the such at the end of the post.. I edited an extra ? into your above post as an example..

Because when I was making the tallest light list it would have been easier to just to stick the lights other people suggested into the OP. But if there's no way to tell that it has been edited, that wouldn't make sense.

What folks usually do in that case is add the fact that the list will be updated with the new additions, both in the original post and at least a post every once in a while just stating that the original list has been updated... That saves having to copy and paste the overall list over and over and the original list will always be up-to-date!

I did that with the "lighthouses in movies" thread. I would reply to someone's post by saying that I would add their entry to the list. After a while, when there was too much scrolling to do, I copied it into a new msg.
