Haven't seen this indicator on home page for a few days now. Scanning each subject for today's date is how I'm determining that someone's posted something new. Anybody else noticing that problem?

The "NEW" indicator has shown up for all new posts since my last visit on two separate computers today. It must be something to do with your personal computer if you aren't seeing them.

Go to 'my profile' and choose 'update new post indicators' and see if that helps.

If not, try plan B -

Go to 'my profile' and choose the delete all cookies set by this site option. The software uses cookies to mark what you have looked at.

Hopefuly one of these will fix the situation.

Maybe you messed up your cookies trying to fix your autofill problem? I know that if I clear my cookies (strange combo of words) or play with them (play with your food?) in other ways, my new post indicators are messed up until I visit enough to reset everything.

Seeing as it's only been in the past few days, and you've been working on the other issue at the same time, there could be a connection there...just a question of what you changed.

Issue regarding "NEW" preempted getting rid of garbage--was the reason I started looking for ways to clean up innards (thought overloading was affecting "NEW"). BUT, stranger things have happened and I won't rule out fiddling around with one affected another.
