I was on a dealers website and found something interesting that I was not aware of.I did not realize that there are two versions of this lighthouse, one with a green door and one with a blue door.I have a green door in my collection.
Is there a rarity difference in the two?
The blue door was 50.00 more than the green one.

If you all can give me some information to enlighten me it would help out so much

I have never heard of this variation before. There is a Canadian version, and a Malaysian version, and maybe there in lies the variation. Mine has a green door on the out building, and a brown door on the tower. It is a Malaysian mold, #4275.

This is an other long forgotten variation.
There are two (major) variations for all the southern Bells.
The Malaysian version and the Canadian Version.
There is always a paint variation between a Canadian and a Malaysian, but the paint variation is usually never noted. The main variation is where it was made.
The dark green door on the out building is the Canadian version and the blue door (teal) on the out building is the Canadian. The Canadian is the more rarer of the two with a production number of somewhere around 500.
My Malaysian # 4593 has the teal door.
I would not pay $50 bucks for a differant colored door, but I would pay an extra 50 for a Canadian made. Make sure it is a Canadian.

I have a Canadian #255. Not having seen both together I would be hard put to tell if the out building door is green or blue. The door IS different from the grass, it could be a dark green or you could say it is blue. My wife says it is teal.

Does anyone know what numbers were asigned to the different countries? That would help.

Harry

The old "green book" had a last known serial number for the Canadian piece at 200 - so that has been superceded by your #255. I have one SN 1986, made in Malaysia with a brown door on the tower and I'd go with a teal on the out-building.

I have a Key West #134 serial #1296. The small house door is a very light blue or teal.
Hope this helps.
