Can someone tell me what the HL Suvivors Guide is and where to get it? I'm trying to find out all the variations of the different HL. Would this guide help? There was a decent forum discussion on some of this 1-2 months ago but of course I didn't know enough to save it. If I knew then what I know now...
Thanks a head of time

Sidd

Published by Jim Rutherford each year. Call him at (770)754-9060 or e-mail him at HLSG@aol.com. He also publishes a quarterly newsletter "The Guiding Lights" for $12.00 a year.

The Survival Guide is a book which chronicles the HL history, variations, edition sizes, etc. from a yearly basis perspective. Lots of great info and a must read to all newbies. It will break down all the discovered variations for you. The quarterly newsletter keeps up with all the new info and rumors.

Jim's book is also available through Lighthouse Depot (www.lhdepot.com) and I've noticed it at many HL dealers lately. Jim's about due for the 1999 edition. He usually brings out the annual just in time for the Spring trade show -- this year in Long Beach CA.

It's an excellent publication and full of lots of good information and advise. It's what turned me from a newbie collector into a WACKO.

Sidd - The discussion is most likely still in the Forums. You just may be excluding it by the setting in the "show topics" box near the top of each Forum. You might also try the search feature available as a link also near the top. Good luck.

I can also highly recommend Jim Rutherford's HL Survivors Guide and newsletter.
