Digger will have to fill in the details of a new technique he used on the drawing..

Details on how to acquire it are here...

BEAUTIFUL piece of art!!! What else can be said. Digger, you've done it again. Will be buying plenty of tic's for this opportunity.

Amazing work once again Digger! Was this done before or after your "mishap?"

To quote Digger in another thread...
Quote:
A quick description of the sketch...
Handmade Japanese paper, Light tan in color with fiber to give the original a wonderful "antique" look. Larger than previous sketches, 14"x18" finished with a 16"x20" frame. For the first time I have added slight hints of color to a Pen & Ink that makes the lighthouse "jump" from the paper with depth. The sketch will be specially numbered SE 1/1 (Special Edition) No future original sketches will ever carry this number again so this is truly a very unique piece.

He did this post injury, which makes it even more amazing, Randy!!

Really impressed with this one Steve. You ought to try more in this format, works really well. The heavier building outlines bring out the depth well. Nice job!

Frank Lloyd Wright used to do alot of his design renderings in a similar format, and was always partial to the style. Very classy.

Digger,

This is the first of your drawings that I've ever seen. You have certainly been blessed with a great talent!

Digger,

This is a striking piece of art.

It demands your attention, and gets it. They just seem to get better every time.

I've sent my money for my chances on bringing this prize to NJ.

Another great drawing, Digger. Nice to see the limited use of color. I'd love to see the original! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing it with us all here on the forums.

Great News!!!

There has been a change and all Clubs at the Regionals will be allowed to sell Opportunity tickets and other items to raise money for their lighthouse projects...

There will be guidelines the clubs are to follow but they will in fact be able to raise funds at their tables during the Regionals..

Harbour Lights will be contacting all of the clubs and informing them of this new policy and the guidelines for the upcoming Summer Regional!

Just about a week left before I leave for Rosemont... for those who are planning on getting tickets and not coming to the Regional, I need to receive the money by Tuesday the 25th of June so I can label your tickets and take them with me. I hope to have Bill do the drawing at the Regional on the 29th..

Remember that all of the proceeds from both drawings go towards the Old Michigan City spiral staircase project so that visitors will someday soon be allowed to climb them up to the lantern room of the Old Michigan City Lighthouse.

Paul,

As I'll see you in Door County, I'll just hand deliver the money for my tix to you there rather than messing with trying to mail you anything.
