When looking at threads where folks have posted pictures, the pictures don't always display but instead a red x. Even if I refresh.

Why does this happen? Anything I can do about it? I am NOT on dialup, using a DSL line.

Melody, it could mean that the server where the image is stored is down... Not necessarily broken/down but servers occasionally need to be taken down (turned off) to update them or work on them..

Melody, I am new at doing the pixs and I understand that when a red x shows up the poster (me) did something wrong. I have had the pixs come out and also the "deadly red x". When that happens one of the saints ( Dave has corrected mine) comes along and corrects it or lets me know that it didnt upload correctly (another poster mistake), and then you have to redo it.

I was finding this was happening when viewing the photos folks had been posting in the 2 games, Lighthouses A - Z and Name this Light". Seemed to always be phots Jen had posted which was quite disappointing as her images are always so wonderful.

Also, the latest photo of her baby doesn't display.

Most of these photos still don't display...I try to make sure I empty my temporary folders each time I log off to make sure I not loading an old version of a screen.

You are not alone. I also have not been able to see photos that others can see. I also have a direct cable line - not dial up. So as someone pointed out perhaps its just the server acting up!
