Please vote on your choice from these seven possible images to appear as the masthead for these Collector Forums.

Voting commences now and will end December 30 at midnight ET. The image with the most votes will appear for the month of January, the second most votes will appear in February and the third most votes will appear in March.

Any image receiving 10% or more of the votes, but not selected as 1-3 will be automatically eligible for consideration in a poll taking place in March to select images for the first 2Q of 2007.

In the event of ties for places 1,2 or 3, all four images will be used and I will decide the order for those that tied.

Images are shown in alphabetical order by the name of the lighthouse.

Images which were submitted but not selected in the final group may also be considered again. If you have images you'd like to submit for consideration, we'll make another call for images in the first part of Marc.

One vote per registered members. Please NO CAMPAIGNING for one image or another. Each of these images clearly has the merits to be used. At least 3 of the 7 will be used and those receiving 10% of the votes will remain in consideration for future use. You are voting for the photograph, not the photographer.

I, too, had a tough time, but there was one leader for me with a bunch of people in a photo finish. It's a great crop of shots.

Now, just to refresh for myself and the other forgetfuls among us...the image with highest votes will be used in January, the next-highest in February, and the next highest in March? And then #4 goes into the next pool? Or is it different because there are more shots this time?

Any image not selected for Jan-Feb-Mar but which receives 10% or more of the votes will go in the next pool.

I voted, but it was hard to just pick one.

A bit over 24 hours to go. Please take a minute to select one. We know it's hard, but two are leading now and are probably sure winners. Your vote for your third choice instead of 1st or 2nd could help select a #3 for use in March or assure one of the pictures with fewer votes will reach 10% and assure it will be considered again in the second quarter 2007.
