What is HL 607 New England Series Spy Glass ?
Regular size HL Lighthouses? Little Lights?
Are there pictures of them on the web?

Thanks

The replica lights are a bit larger than a thumbnail.

An original spyglass set of four (HL607) was made for distribution as a society gift - if I recall correctly, it was the first society gift.

There were two sets of Spyglass Series lights put out by HL. One was HL613 Southern Belles (1998) and the other was HL607 New England (1997). Each was composed of 7 lights. Those were sold by dealers. Most are just under two inches tall.

I know Paul has posted pictures before, so you might be able to find them in a search.

You might like to get a copy of HL's The Official Collectors Guide ; it contains tons of information on the entire HL collection. wink

A little more information that I found in a post dated October 1998:

"The first spyglass Collection was a society gift in 1996 and had 4 lighthouses (Admiralty Head, Cape Hatteras, West Quoddy and Sandy Hook). Then they came outwith the New England set of 7 (Minots Ledge, Nauset Beach, New London Ledge, Portland Breakwater, Portland Head, SE Block, and Whaleback. Next are the Southern Belles set of 7 (Hilton Head,Key West, Ocracoke, Ponce de Leon, St Augustine, St Simons and Tybee)."

Hey, Bob, thanks for posting that. I have all my lights displayed by state and so my spyglass sets are separated and all over the place. I couldn't remember them all. The senior moments come more frequently! nono

I was going to posted the New England Spyglass info from the Harbour Lights Website, but it showed the pictures of the Southern Bell Spyglass instead of the New England.

For the newbies, in case you don't know about the official guide, Paul's picture of the New England spyglass set and thousands of his other pictures of HL appear there. Webmaster John put the book together. It is an invaluable resource for collectors. You will learn everything you ever wanted to know about HL! cool

Aren't they beautiful?! Just as well done as the LE counterparts. And, of course, the pictures are pretty terrific! laugh
