Finally got around to making it offical. Many of us Ocean County, New Jersey HL collectors have formed our own collectors club.

The New Jersey Lighthouse Lover (NJLL) - not too original, but its what we are.

We are starting with 26 members who all collect Harbour Lights and love to do Lighthousing.

We agreed to have no membership fees. (for now)

The only requirements to stay in the club for 2010 are to do the following by 2010:
- Complete the NJ Lighthouse Challenge.
- Membership in the NJ Lighthouse Society.
- Make a donation to the Maine Lighthouse Museum.
- Participate on the Opportunity Drawing.
- Purchase the Wisconsin Point exclusive.

Sounds like a lot, but many have already done some of these.


The next meeting we will discuss starting a local fundraser for preservation of many of the NJ lighthouses.

Congratulations on your new club, Loon, you need to add one more item on your requirements to join and that is become members of the Forums if htey have internet access..

Dave and I started the Hoosier Lighthousing Club officially on August 9th of 2001 (first live meeting) even though 8 of us actually formed it about 6 months earlier online. It has been a blast and some great friendships have resulted..

We do have a few members who don't have a computer. This will be one of our challenges to get them to finally take the plung into the WWW!

Many already lirk on the CF, just need to get those to signup.

Should be an interesting year ahead.

Congrats Loon. Some very lofty and worthwhile membership goals.
Just please be sure to pass on to the other members that the deadline for the Opportunity Drawing is August 15th.

There should be a lot of entries from NJ in the next month.

Looking forward to seeing them. These lighthouse groups can use all the help they can possibly get.
