Have any clubs received the yearly "giveaway" packages from Harbour Lights for 2006? I'm talking about the really nice packages that clubs in recent years have paid HL for the shipping cost only, and the pieces were used as fundraisers and giveaways within the club membership.
Haven't heard anything this year, and wondered if this is something that might have been put aside due to the ownership change.

I have talked to Kathy at Harbour Lights about the HL Club giveaway's for this year and she said Don is wanting to continue the practice but when I talked to her they hadn't worked out the details..
She promised to bring the subject up again and I informed her that I realized with the move it will take a little longer until everything is settled in but I pressed the issue of how important the club's have become to the HL family.. I also mentioned that a lot of club's are getting ready for their first meetings of 2006 and how these boxes have helped out the club's tremendously..

That's great Paul, I appreciate your lobbying for all the Clubs. And I appreciate that Don is wanting to continue the practice for Harbour Lights. Bob LI Chapter of USLHS

Thanks Paul,
I also appreciate you putting in the good word for us. I do hope Don sees the importance and that the practice will be continued.

Harbour Lights is sending out letters today to all of the clubs they sent a goodie pack to last year, in the letter are details on what the contents of the the goodie packs will be this year and freight cost, along with a survey to be completed by the club leader.
I would like to encourage all clubs to fill out the survey and return it to Harbour Lights asap.. I am sure this will help them make the transition from the West to the East Coast and enable them to keep up a good working relationship with the active clubs.
