There were three celebrations at Old Michigan City lighthouse on June 8th. First..


We celebrated the 30 years of the lighthouse housing the Michigan City's Historical Society's Museum...

We celebrated June Jaques, the Director of the Old Michigan City Historical Society, the lastten years as director and her birthday that was on the 7th. The Hoosier Lighthousing Club purchased and had an 18 year old Blue Spruce and had it planted in her honor on the grounds.. We named the tree "June".
Last but not least..


Bill Younger assisted June in the cutting of the ribbon for the dedication of the new sprial staircase to the lantern room that the club purchased and installed to enable vistors to make the climb to the lantern room...
