Introducing …… Harbour Lights Musings

Starting This Month, Harbour Lights will email a bi-monthly Newsletter for Collectors and enthusiasts: "Harbour Lights Musings".

A bit of gossip… some fun and a “peek” into what’s going on at Harbour Lights.

Just a quick way to stay “in touch” between issues of “The Lighthouse Legacy”.

Sounds interesting. I still haven't seen the last issue of "Legacy" yet. I had problems opening it and because of lack of time I ended up abandoning it. Sure miss the hard copy. I could take that with me places! Does anyone know if it is still available to view?

This is a great idea.
Is this for Legacy members or will it be for anyone that ask for it.

My guess it is for Collector Society members because of the first quote above.

I got my Harbour Lights Musings today. My computer was acting stupid and I could not open it from the e-mail. Saved it to my cumputer, then I could open it and print.

Sounds like they are planning on making some changes to the Legacy. I'm looking forward to the April 10th issue.

Got the Musings email too. Took a few minutes to open...I had just about given up and went to Task Manager to close it (couldn't close it by clicking on the "x") when finally opened.

Would like to see the pin that Tony gave to dealers at the Winter shows. I don't believe my dealer attends these.

I got the "Musings" email and could not open it on the first attempt, then suddenly I had a mini-crash of my computer which I've never experienced before. The computer froze so I shut it down and pulled the plug for a minute. When I rebooted I was able to read the "Musings". I also had to download a service pack of some sort from Intel to correct my computer problem. Things seem to be going in the right direction now.

I feel sending this bi-monthly letter/email is a wonderful way for Harbour Lights to keep in touch with their collectors. I sincerely hope they will keep up this good work.

The file seems large for one page. I'd suggest when you get to the internet page, you right-click on the link, choose "Save Target As", download it and click on the copy you downloaded rather than the link.

John

Where is the "link"?

And how do I accomplish this? Need Input.

You get a link within an email from Harbour Lights. That link takes you to:

www.harbourlightslegacy.com

From there, you can right-click on the only link on that page.

Thanks to Ruthie, I was finally abe to open the newsletter. Unfortunately, my computer crashed the first time I tried and merely froze on the second attempt.

The "Harbour LIghts Musings" for February was really a great addition to what HL does for us. I really like keeping up with the news, either here on the forums and now with the Musings. Nice touch!

I've posted a picture of the button/pin in the General Forum tread for the Musings.

Harbour Lights is doing the right thing to keep the interest of its faithful followers by offering such things as the "musings". We really need something to fill in the gaps between new releases, signings, regionals, etc. This keeps a nice pace of information coming to the collectors. It's not the best thing to have a one or two month lull without anything happening.

A good example is I haven't received a new HL since 2006, and its almost March. I experienced this in the past and found myself purchasing other things to fill the gap. One time I started collecting Lionel Trains. Before I knew it, I had about $3000 worth of those in my storage area.

Everything Harbour Lights can do to keep a somewhat constant contact with it's supporters will always be a plus.
