Many thanks to Polly M. of NoCal HL Keepers, Merete B. of Scan Trends, and Raquel L. of the GGNRA for arranging our fantastic outing to Alcatraz last Saturday, June 2...it's no secret that the island itself is a huge tourist attraction, but not too many people get to climb the lighthouse tower and hang out on the gallery...this writer could not have asked for a better b-day present!

What a great birthday present, Rock. Sounds as if this will be one of those really memorable celebrations. And what better a way to spend it than with a bunch of fellow lighthouse nuts.
