While gathering for our 1st Club meeting of 2009, everybody enjoys some good food and even better conversation..

I brought along the early 2009 HL releases for all in the club to see 'up close and personal'..

Our door prizes for today's meeting are a HL359 Bristol Ferry, RI Artist Proof and a 1994 HL132 Ponce de Leon, FL lighthouse..

HLC secretary, Quilting Kat, taking notes of our first meeting of the new year..

2009 Club President Doyne Cole presides over the business part of the meeting, such as planning for our Spring work day at the Old Michigan City Lighthouse..

Frank and Edith Olivera listening to the discussion along with Dani Scott..

Shelly and Harold Breen seating with my wife, Sue.. I am naming people for those in the forums who want to put a face with a name they might have heard or know..

Plans were discussed for the years event all the way up to and including our Christmas gathering at the lighthouse the first weekend in December..

The business meeting done, it was time for catching up on what had been happening over the winter months and discussing lighthousing trip plans coming up..

Next gathering of the HLClub is May 2, 2009 Planting and Work Day at Old Michigan City Lighthouse. Come join us at the Lighthouse!

What a nice looking group of Hoosiers!

Some really nice looking HL's there also. Look's like they are still putting out a great product. Hey, nice Pen&Ink of Chicago harbor (That's one I don't have Dave) there amidst all those HL's if I say so myself. LOL

That's the Pen % Ink that Dani won at Rosemont back a few years.. She has shared it with all of the club members ever since. At almost every club meeting, just before we ended the meeting, we have held a drawing to see who would get to take the Pen & Ink home until the next meeting. Today it was retired and returned to Dani for good, since everyone has had their turn with the Pen & Ink..

Gee, I wonder who the artist was on that wonderful Pen & Ink drawing!!

Looks like everyone had a great time. I'm really sorry I couldn't make the meeting.
Congrats to Doyne and Charlotte on winning the door prizes.

Digger? Is that Digger? "Up from the grave he arose!"

Good to see you on the surface, again, my friend.

Looks like you grab a breathe about every 7 weeks!

Still among my cherished possessions is Digger's painting of Fort Gratiot Lighthouse painted on September 11, 2001 - all in one day.

While all the rest of us had 2 eyes glued to the (non HD) television that historic day. Digger kept one eye on the canvas and one eye on the TV.

The painting was a gift for a bunch of my online friends for arranging discount hotel stays in conjunction with the 2001 Rosemont collector's show.

I know, I know, Rosemont brings back fond memories of the "good ol' days"
