IS THERE ANY INTEREST IN A CLUB FOR THE SOUTHERN MICHIGAN / NORTHERN INDIANA AREA? THE AREA AROUND MICHIGAN CITY / ST. JOSEPH IS ABOUT 150+ MILES FROM THE NEAREST CLUBS (INDIANAPOLIS, MILWAUKEE, OR LANSING) AND THAT IS JUST TOO FAR TO DRIVE, BEING 300 + MILES ROUND TRIP.

Keweenaw,
You would be surprised. Last Saturday we had folks from northern Indiana, southern Michigan and eastern Missouri at our Hoosier Lighthousing Club meeting in Indianapolis. In the coming year we will be holding at least one meeting and one workday at the Michigan City light. You might want to look into joining with us, and attending those meetings you are able to. You would certainly be welcome!
Dave

Keweenaw, It's a 4+ hour roundtrip for me here in Northern Indiana. Really not bad though, it's a straight shot down US 31 and Paul always seems to find a north Indy meeting location that is easy to get to. Since Mi. City is our "adopted" lighthouse, this club would be the perfect choice for someone from Mi. City. If it's the drive you don't like, just wander over here to Bremen and ride to the meetings with us. There! Problem solved.
