We were heartbroken to find out, after signing a contract at the hotel for our Sat. June 3 NELL meeting, and program/signing with Bill, which is part of our annual 2 day Outing, that we would be missing out on a dealer signing with Bill the next day, Sunday, June 4, on Cape Cod. This dealer happens to be a club member and we wanted to give him our support at the signing.

After explaining this situation, HL has very graciously extended a special solution: our member/dealer who is Collectors World, will be allowed to take advance orders for the Hatteras event piece and have them shipped in advance to Collectors World, so that he can ship them on to anyone coming to our NELL meeting on June 3. That way attendees can bring this unsigned Hatteras piece along for Bill to sign on the spot at our meeting.

Non-members are welcome to attend both our Sat. June 3 AM-afternoon lighthouse cruise on the Sound off Groton, CT; and our evening dinner/program/signing with Bill, at the Clarion Inn in Groton. To order the Hatteras piece, contact Collectors World and ask for Chris Alex at 1-800-421-4270. Be sure to say you saw this on the NELL posting; and also indicate to him if you will be having this piece shipped in order to get it signed at our club meeting. (all this contingent on HL's shipping schedule of Hatteras). Anyone who doesn't live near a scheduled store signing in your area of the U.S.can also order his/her piece from our member and it will be signed and shipped. Chris runs a store targeted to collectors and mail order shipping, with retired pieces in stock at retail prices.

Please re-read my original Feb. posting about our NELL club event and signing with Bill on Sat. June 3 in Groton, CT.

Activities and prices have been finalized. The Sat. daytime 5 hour lighthouse cruise will be $30. The Sat. evening event with Bill requires an advance ticket. Price is $25 for club members; $30 for non-members which will include a $5 rebate if joining the club that day. The ticket price includes the signing, a 3-entree buffet dinner, and a program by Bill. Because of the room size, there is a set number of spaces, so I advise reservations be made as soon as possible if you are interested. On Sunday we will be touring the Stonington Lighthouse (small admission fee) and at least one other maritime site.
