I have a feeling that I cannot do anything to fix this problem, but maybe a Wacko out there has faced my problem. I have 2 cats and many harbour lights pieces. About a month ago, the older kitty broke my heart. She has been acting very anxious for a while now and she has been spraying some of the furniture. Well, she sprayed 4 Harbour Lights pieces! After I got over what she did, I went out and found three out of the four to replace them, but Great Captain's Island, CT I have not been so lucky. I tried spraying the pieces with neutralizer and other products I could find at the stores, but the pieces still reek!!!! Any ideas out there or tips on finding another Great Captain's Island?
The cat is now on doggie downers and the spraying has stopped for now. It was quite funny going to the pharmacy with a Vet prescription. The pharmacist was slightly confused at first.
Thanks for all the suggestions you may have.

I have never tried it but I have heard money people rave over the new Febreeze and such products also I know pet shops sell stuff that supposedingly will kill those type odors. Also maybe before you pitch those ones you already replaced try some bleach water heavily diluted! You never know it may help. Without harming the peice too much.

Please accept my deepest sympathies... I would be extremely cautious about applying any type of liquid to your HL. Correct me if I'm wrong, but would the paint come off the piece if any type of liquid was applied? Bob

Sorry about the situation Sanibel. I have sent you an email with the name of a store that still has Great Captain's Island available.
But, it just occurred to me, what if you buy the ceramic spray that seals paint? Years ago I was into ceramics and had to spray the pieces to seal the paint, if they weren't fired and glazed. Since you have replaced some pieces anyway, I would test to see if the sealant would also seal the smell.
You may also want to go into a craft store and buy some display cases (the plastic ones are under $10) and put the accessible pieces in the cases so this doesn't happen again. They sell the cases to display footballs and other sports memorabillia. There's even a thread on here, somewhere, that lists websites where they can be purchased.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! I'll give some of them a try. I was also able to locate a replacement Great Captains Island.
