How come you all relight your lighthouses in the morning? Up north we tend to wait until dark. All kidding aside, it sounds like a great time, and an event greater accomplishment!

Why so early. Are we going fishing or seeing a lighthouse. A lot of people will have a long drive to get there. Like us, 4-hours. We will just get there the day before and make a minnie vacation out of it. How much for kids? What age do they call a kid? We will be there no-matter what, GOD willing. Thanks for the early bird heads up.

Daniel, The reasons we have to leave so early are: - 1 The Ship we are using has a schedualed Dinner Cruise at 7:00 PM and it takes them over 2 hours to get back to their berth in St. Pete Beach.
- 2. Most of the TBHLCCers are also working to help setup the event that starts at 5:30 PM, so we need to be back in plenty of time to get that work finished.
As for your second question there was no mention of a kids fare. We are not going to make any profit on this boat ride. The club took the set price for the boat, and the lunch that will be served, and divided it by 200 (which is the number of people that can fit on the boat) this gave us the price of 35 dollors a head. This cruise is not the relighting itself. This cruise is to celebrate 10 years of hard work, by a lot of people, so we thought what better way than to carry a bunch of lighthouse lovers over to see a light few people get to visit. Hope that helps. If you are going to make a vacation out of it don't forget Bill Younger will be there and on Sunday he will be conducting a signing at Classic Boutigue which is about 1 block from the marinna where we will catch the boat.

Check is in the mail for 6 people
It would be neat if Harbour light could make a special thumbnail of Anclote lighthouse for that day or even a special LLOM. All proceeds would go to the Anclote Key Restoration and would be a very limited edition of say 300.
You guys did great for arranging a neat lighthouse tour. I recommend for anyone that is interested,to send in their check rightaway. Don't miss the boat.

I glad to hear that a lot of you have great vision and can see fine details at night. I myself would like to see the lighthouse during the day and than watch the relighting at night. FYI - the relighting will take place after 2000 hours (that's 8PM ). Wayne and I have not set the exact time yet. Will keep you posted and hope a lot of can come. GAte price for the evening has not been set, although the $5.00 fee Weasel58 mentioned has been discussed. I can say that kids 5 & under are free! p.s. I know it's been a long time since I've made any contributions to this fine place of communications. Having a 3 year old at home and other duties both with TBHLCC and GIACSO I have been busy. Will do my best to keep posting. Take care and your eyes open. Another light will be on the horizon soon!

Maybe one of the club people can confirm this. I see Bill is scheduled to be down there for the relighting. Will he only be on the boat trip, or will he be at the relighting also? Will he be signing if he's at the relighting? My brother lives in Palm Harbor and we we're plannng a visit to coincide with the relighting. Just wanted to know if I should bring my Anclote Key and get it signed "at the relighting" to remember the event by. Anybody shed some light on this?
Thanks, Mike

Cana Fan, Bill is scheduled to be at both events. As for signing, I don't know. I do know he has an event the next day at a dealer, which is located about 1 block from the marina where we will be boarding the boat.

Thanks Eric. Knowing Bill, I'd venture to say that he'll have a pen in his pocket if I track him down at the relighting.

John we have room for around 175 people. We (the Florida Lighthouse Association) took the same boat to Anclote Keys in April of 2002 and we had about 200 people on board, currently I believe we have about 135 people signed up.
