Hi everyone, I've been getting e-mails to see if I'm OK or just still around. I admit, I've had to put the club & the internet on the back burner for awhile because of my family & work obligations. At work things are finally freeing up alittle. I'm not working weekends anymore, now they're taken up by trying to get in 30 hours of behind the wheel with my third daughter(a new WI law)basketball, volleyball, forensics, math meets, piano recitals(Valerie is in the state finals) all take lot of time up. Well, I think I see light at the end of the tunnel. With summer coming up, school activities are fewer, which frees me up for some lighthouse time. I got a phone call the other day the the Door County Sheriff is investigating Pottawatomies missing 4th order lens. USCG is helping out to, and rumor has it that in might be stored in a warehouse and not in some admiral's basement as once thought. This summer I will be spending most of my time traveling up to and working on Rock Island. We plan on having the Pottawatomie Light and out buildings retored by this fall. I sure have missed everyone and the forum and hope to jump back as a regular once the dust settles around here.
Thanks,
Jim Johnston

Nice to hear from you Jim. Obviously your family and other obligations must come before the HL and LH activities. Looking forward to hearing more about Pottawatomie as events unfold. Take care of the essentials and join us as you are able.

Great to hear from you, Jim! I think we were all wondering what happened to you! Hopefully the lens will be found! That would be great! Keep us all updated on your progress at Pottawatomie Light! I always look forward to seeing your pictures!

Glad to see you back in the forums.

Hope you get to do more soon. We've gotten many new members here who could use some of your outlook on Lighthousing.

Welcome back to the original 'JJ'. Glad to hear you are well and working.

Will you be able to join the WACKOs in Rosemont? Did you know some of us are heading up to Door County before the Rosemont Show and Regional?

Welcome back to my buddy from the other JJ (no t). We missed you around here and hope that you can drop in more often now that you have a little more time available. You have to be the hardest working man in the forums

Hi Jim,

We have to admit we were wondering what had happened to you, but after reading your news it is a wonder you had time to post at all. We sure hope you can make it to Rosemont for one weekend or at least meet us when we are touring with the group before Rosemont up in Door County.

Have a great Easter and we hope to hear from you again soon.

good to hear from you Jim! We had the pleasure of meeting Jim last August at Wind Point. We had a great time at the picnic when Bill visited.
Sure would like to see you at Rosemont-- see if you can make the trip down, at least for the day.

We all understand how those more important things such as family & work must come first. I am happy that they have eased up enough for you to visit the forums again. I hope that things continue to improve and you are able to share more time with lighthouses and the forums. Nice to see you back again Jim.
