8th Annual Christmas Lighting at Old Michigan City Light
Saturday, December 6th
Meet at the Lighthouse around 3:00 p.m. Michigan City Time

We will have a short meeting and look around the
lighthouse for projects that need to be done
during the spring workday.

We will then move over to the Creekwood Inn B&B in Michigan City for our club's annual Christmas party!

Doyne, Gary and Dave first put the wreath together then they raise it up to attach to the opening above the porch..

It was still snowing and very cold from the wind as they hung the wreath for the Holiday season at the lighthouse..

The storage building (middle) is sporting a new roof for the winter and the inside is being redone so the Historical Society can better use the building.

Next Spring the club is looking at redoing the Christmas lights we added to the lighthouse several years ago with ribbon LED lights..

The Christmas party and dinner at the Creekwood Inn B & B was organized by Kat for the second year..

Cindy Cole is probably discussing the beautiful Christmas music playing in the room with her friend Sue Zirkle.

The source of that music is Sue's husband Dave Zirkle, Dave's playing really made the party complete!!

Santa really seemed to enjoy hugging all of the gals!

I am presenting Dave Zirkle with the 2008 AP of the Sankaty Head on the Move Lighthouse which he won. We sold chances on the lighthouse to raise money for our OMC Lighthouse restoration fund. We raised $200 off of the ticket sales.

We all brought a present to the party then we played a pass them around game..

Great photos! Looks like everyone had a great time! I know I enjoy my HL 2001 Christmas Edition of Michigan City. I really liked seeing the photos of the Christmas season in action there. I only saw the lighthouse in the fall so missed all the action.

More snow there than we have in KC. Ours has melted already. Happy holidays to all those folks in the photos. Wish we could have been there...

The cake is actually a Gingerbread Lighthouse and was made by the Chef at the Bed and Breakfast where we have had our Christmas party in Michigan City the last two years, Mark..

It's a great location for us to hold it as they have 14 rooms where we can spend the night after our party, in the room shown in the images..

They also have a restaurant attached to the Bed and Breakfast and cater the food for the party..

Thanks for the pics. You look like a group that has a passion for what they do and enjoy being with each other and the results in smiles and the condition of OMC show .
