Hoosier Lighthousing Club March Meeting

When: March 8th 2003

Where: Note: New location
MCL Cafeteria in Carmel, IN*
116th St & Keystone Ave
Northwest corner of intersection… they said you could see it from 116th..
Carmel, IN 317-844-9217 (Carmel is a suburb on the Northside of Indianapolis) Easiest way to get there probably is to exit North on Keystone from Interstate 465 on the Northside of Indianapolis then go North to 116th Street..

Map to MCL

Time: 3:00 PM EST to 6:00 PM EST

What: The first meeting of 2003 for the club. We couldn’t get our usual MCL, as it was booked for the month. So we will meet at the MCL in Carmel. We will need start promptly at 3 PM and we can’t get in the room earlier because another group has the room scheduled. If you wish to eat before 3pm you will need to eat in the regular part of the restaurant then move into the meeting room at 3 PM.

Bring some photos of past HLC meetings and events to donate for a collage display. We will use this display for our table at the boat show the next week after the meeting and for display at future HL Regionals to hallmark what our club is doing.

There will, of course, be door prizes plus great fun and camaraderie! There will be a Swap and Sell table bring no more than 4 lighthouses per person (8 per couple).

For more information contact:

*MCL will allow us to use their Banquet Room at no charge if members purchase food. Please consider buying a late
lunch or early supper during the meeting. Thank you!

P.S. Pen in Saturday May 3rd for our 2nd annual Spring Cleaning at the Old Michigan City Lighthouse!!!

Hoosier Lighthousing Club President Dave H conduct the business meeting, including updating the club on the status of the June bus and boat lighthousing trip...

It looks like Kat is holding court with the gals, with some recent lighthousing pictures...

John Tamlin is doing the same with photos from their recent lighthousing trip...

Last but not least Bill came real duded up for the club meeting!!! And Bill has already put in his order for his new 2003 Wacko Badge!!!

I think he is just rollin in from Mardi Gras. Lets take a look at the time line.... Lets see here fat Tuesday 11:45 pm nearly closing time accidently herded in to paddy wagon with some unruly drunks, sleep it off, post bond, gray hound bus to St. Louis Wednesday evening/ Thursday morning. A good nights sleep at the bus station, then Roy promptly picks him up at 10:30am then it's off to breakfast, then back to the McBee's for some lighthouse lore and dinner. Friday an early start heading east on interstate 70 towards Indianapolis to get a good seat for the Hoosier lighthouse club meeting, a stop off Friday night at the midwestern Harbour Lights museum. Saturday up early for another breakfast with Roy (it doesn't get any better) and then off to the club meeting.

Yep... the time line fits better than O.J.'s gloves, mystery solved!

Looks like a fun club to belong to. I wish I lived near there. I sure would be a member.

Nah, I think he came in from DC where he got those shoes from the police chief on The District.

I was thinking the same thing about the shoes. Just love the WACKO badge, but it looks like it's time for him to pay his money and get the 2003 badge.
