Doyne Cole laying down the ground rules for the gathering at his home..

Rule #1. Have Fun!

Rule #2. See Rule #1

Charlotte, Larry and Kat are in the food line behind Roy, fortunately there was plenty to eat for all..

Carolyn found out the hard way that the catsup was brand new and no one had removed the insert seal under the lid..

Bill finds a nice spot to enjoy the start of the gathering!

Around 26 club members made it to the grillin.. There were some great eats and some really great times, plus we had time for a short business meeting in preparation for the Club at the Reunion..

Gloria Toering has a hard time keeping her eyes open with the reflection coming off of the Gold event lighthouse, which was won by Carol the day before at a Bill signing in Michigan.. Jake planned ahead and wore his sunglasses.. More Gold winners for the Hoosier Lighthousing Club members!!

Daughter, Valarie, helps Cindy present Doyne a belated Father's Day present.. Doyne has helped boater's in trouble over the years at the lake, so the sign is very appropriate...

Doyne, Cindy, Valarie are joined by their other daughter Amy for a family picture with the sign and of course their lighthouse at their cove..

Danica, the matriarch of our club, celebrated her 75th birthday with the club.. She opens a double top-secret present from the club..

It's time for some boating fun..

Heather was the first to try her hand at tubeing!!

Jeff was the next out for a turn mastering the tube!

Then (drum roll please...) Roy takes a turn at the tube... He seems to be pulling the boat over to the left!

"Geeeeeeee this is fun", Roy grits through his teeth!!

What's Carolyn pointing at? It's not her husband who seems to lost a little of the fun look!

Looks like everybody had a great time, but then the Cole's know how to throw a great grilling party. Roy looks like he was holdin on to the tube for dear life! Too bad there wasn't a group photo as has been in the past. Also too bad we didn't make it, but that's how it goes.

We are happy everyone enjoyed themselves. God has given us the gift of a place to live that we love and we love sharing it with friends. And after all Lighthousers are the best! Big thanks to our helpers, daughter Valarie and son-in-law Chad and Sharon Perovish, my hostess. and grandsons who served the birthday cakes. With their help we could have fun and visit with all of you too.
I think Doyne is still stunned with his gift of the sign! And me I am thrilled with winning the artist proof Luddington! Thanks to the good Lord for the sunshine. And thanks to all who came and for bringing the eats and treats. And we really MISSED the rest of you cool
Cindy
