The Tampa Bay HL club meeting is always a great event where wacko collectors enjoy talking about their trips( both recent and future), showing photos, latest buys, and look forward to the door prizes that are provided by HLs and Johnston Hallmark stores in the area.
Nov. 28th we gathered at the Causeway Red Lobster for yet another fun meeting. We had an overflow group of 35 present. You talk about a room full of chatter !!!
Our speaker was Mike Shumate, from the St. Petersburg Aides to Navigation of the Coast Guard. (Hope I got that right). We were given information about what the job entails.
It was very enlightning to us all. Mike is a member of our HL group and we already knew how much he and his wife like lighthouses. We
all appreciated his PowerPoint presentation.
We try to have field trips to lights in the area and are talking about getting a charter bus load up for the Atlanta-May 4-6th collectors gathering....Anclote Key ia another light we want to visit.....
If you haven't come to join us and are living the Tampa Bay area...Think about it...
you will be glad you did....
