It's becoming more and more obvious that the CG doesn't want to own and maintain any lighthouses! If it weren't for preservation groups and other government agencies we'd sure be losing a lot of them!

Wouldn't you like to know how they managed to mandate that a lighthouse tower first be offered for housing the homeless? Sometimes the people in Washington are just dumb beyond belief. I thought it was bad enough that they gave homeless shelters priority when unloading military bases. They spend so much time writing stupid rules that they sometimes don't have time left to write good legislation.

After reading that article, I'm just imagining a 169 foot tall homeless shelter....in that resort area! And, I'm guessing those walls are a little thicker than 8 inches!
