A couple of questions

Do most HL dealers sell the Lights at retail or do prices very from store to store?

Why do the retired pieces very so much in price ?
I saw HL 164 Pemiqued on ebay or should I say purched it for under $90 with shipping and the suggested retail for it was $90.
and then I saw Big Bay Xmass going for over $250 last time I checked.
I know supply and demand but enlighten me a little I'm still green at this!!!!

Thanks
Larry

There's a good discussion of the secondary market on the 'Secondary Market' topic from the main page of these forums. There's all sorts of insight to the dynamics of the market, the pricing and even a few places to look and check things out that don't start at harbourlights.com.

For recently retired pieces, check Retired@Retail. It's collector provided service to match collector's looking for a retired piece with dealers who still have them for sale at or very close to retail. Try the link to see the list of available pieces. www.harbourlights.com/retired

Hi Larry,

My experience has been that unless a store is discontinuing the line, HL's are sold at the suggested retail price. Occasionally, there may be a sale for 10% or 20% discount for a special reason such as the store's anniversay. Some stores offer a special incentive such as for every $10 you spend, you get one "bonus buck" towards future purchaes. I believe retailers sign a contract with HL's agreeing to sell at the suggested retail price. This is a very common practice among all collectible lines.
