YIPPEE!! This, when done, may finally give a REALLY GOOD REASON (lighthouses always are) to go and visit lookout. The only problem is that it would take a 6-10 day to get there from Corolla, where we normally stay on the OBX, to Lookout and back in a day. Otherwise your wasting a paid night in your rental house.
Can't wait to see when done!!!

Wonderful news!
Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

Thanks Bryan, great article! Great news for a great lighthouse! We were there in 1992 and I would love to be able to go back and climb the tower in the future! Wish I could be there on June 14th!

Lookout was in USAToday today, in the "News From Every State" page on 9A. Just a scentince or two about the NPS transfer, but pretty neat to see that when I opened up the paper!!!
