I missed Rod's call last week that he was at Cape Hatteras ready to 'pose' for the 'HatCam'.

But Paul called at 6:30 this morning and we coordinated his movements ('more left', 'walk towards the orange fence') until everyone was positioned just so.

Here's the result:

I know, I know - like ants. The blow-up isn't much better:

Left to right:
Betty O'Brien, her granddaughter Danielle, Paul and Sue Brady, Betty's grandaughter Monique, and John O'Brien.

Congratulations to Paul for another significant accomplishment to add to his resume.

Dave

John- hope it was 6:30 your time, not NC time!

Cape Hatteras is ON THE MOVE!

(Up, anyway.) Take a look at the photo above and then look at this photo today Note that the you can now see the lower levels of the base that do not appear in the shot above.

(This is a live shot that will be updated every two minutes or when you look at this message again.)

I notice they also repositioned the camera so you can't see the orange snow fence anymore. (No more shots of friends at the fence.)

The Ants are just about home. Sue and I fly out of Raleigh tomorrow for Indy. We are at our future daughter-in-law's place tonight (she loaned us her 4 by 4 for lighthousing). I have to give it back, drats! We saw a lot of lighthouses and visited a lot of stores (Rick), but the best was the day on the boat on the Chesapeake. Going out to Thomas Point was something special! Baltimore harbor light being the Society piece made it a special visit also. Anyone wanting to hire a charter boat with Captain, just e-mail me for information on captain Joe, he was great.

Glad to have you back on the board, if not yet home Paul.

Anybody look at that new Hatteras photo directly above? It's the latest picture from the webcam (can't see it in the dark, of course). But now you can see the yellow support beams being jacked up.
