Sorry this posting got overlooked.

Anybody feel a NYC Collectors Reunion coming on - perhaps 2004?

Are you asking or telling, John? It would be nice to know there will be another Reunion in 2004. NYC? NEW YORK CITY! I don't know about that. How is the area around the Lighthouse Museum? Providence was a nice area. Baltimore was a nice area. I didn't attend the first reunion in San Diego. Will the NYC site be as good?

NYC is around a three hour or so ride for me. I wouldn't mind having another east coast reunion. People from the deep south and the Great Lakes area might feel slighted.

NYC in 2004? I like the 2004 part but maybe not the location taking everyone's feelings into consideration. Time will tell.

(Should I start calling now?)

You thought the cost of parking your car in Baltimore was expensive, don't ask about NYC?

Battery Park area would be a great place to head in several directions by water (NJ, StatenIsland, SoL, HudsonRiver, LI Sound), bus trip to Montauk and Fire Island, etc. Logistics problem is traffic.
The Staten Island side makes it much easier especially if a brand new Marriott is being built. LOL
If the Museum starts a cruise program?
Staten Island Ferry is free!

Well, just some food for thought.

I would much rather go somewhere other than the NYC area myself. I've seen most of these lights and would like to go somewhere I've not been yet. The Great Lakes or West Coast get my vote.

We were there last year with the United States Lighthouse Society's Hudson/Long Island boat/bus tour... since it is right next to where the Staten Island Ferry docks it would be much easier to get to via the ferry than by land driving through Staten Island... we disembarked the boat that we came down the Hudson River in New Jersey and boarded our bus and drove to Staten Island..

We went to the Museum by bus since Manhattan Island (where we were supposed to disembark the boat) was closed because of 9/11 and then the bus drove out to Long Island through Queens and that was like driving through a parking lot of a major shopping mall at Christmas time...
