It has been some time since the last update on the restoration effort at the Saginaw River Rear Range Lightouse. That probably has a lot to do with it being winter and not much going on at the old girl, but I have big news: A Light Has Been Found!While it is not as romantic as a fresnel lens, the old railroad style light was more effective for the duties of a continually burning range light. Thanks for the update. It is always good news when we hear of another lighthouse being restored, especiually when they can obtain a historic piece like this from a private source. Great news indeed!

Very interesting Todd,, especially to learn that it was made in Upstate NY! I'm sure you're anxious to get back to working on the lighthouse. Look forward to hearing more.
