Too bad they didn't check with the locals on facts before they went to press. Seem to have left Old Michigan City Light off the list. The Shanklins also have relocated another light - Calumet Harbor Light is generally considered to be an Illinois light since the pier it is on starts in Illinois, though it is so long it does end in Indiana waters. Oddly enough, in the copy of their light listing I have (10th edition) they say it is an Illinois light. Also, this is about the only time I have seen the MC East Breakwater marker included on someone's lighthouse list. Oh well....

Calumet Harbor? I belive it was demolished back in the mid 90's The only thing alomg that breakwall is a few of the small lights on legs like the chicago river breakwall light, I think there is 3-4 of them where there are gaps in the breakwall for boats or ships to pass thru. You can see them from the Chicago Skyway when the weather is reasonably clear.
