Caught a re-run of Murder She Wrote today and poor Jessica was in a 'remote-controlled' car driving down the roads of Cabot Cove - ending up at the 'Cabot Cove Lighthouse'.
Looked like Cape Arago OR - anyone know which one they used in that show?

Thanks, Mombo.
Now I think the light in Murder She Wrote WAS Point Cabrillo - closer to Hollywood than Point Arago OR, for sure.
There is a similarity between the two buildings and their settings, however.

John,
Probably the main reason for using Point Cabrillo is that the filmed al the exterior scenses for murder she wrote at a little town just south of Point Cabrillo.
It looks just like a New England Seaside town. It's called Mendocino. they have plaques up on the houses used in the show.
They have a large number of bus trips there also. it's got a large number of crafter's, etc.
Stopped in last year about this time on our way to Point Cabrillo and points north.
