I received an email asking if I knew the name of the 'legendary lightkeeper' of Seguin who killed his wife with an ax because she kept playing the same song on the piano.

Anyone?

Take your pick there is a list of keepers at the bottom of the page at this website..

Another website mentioned that it happened in the 1850's, which would mean either Osgood, Miles, Lowell or Sewell would be the name...

Keeper Osgood was a married man in 1830 so unless this was a different wife, he wouldn't have been considered a newlywed..

I remember seeing that story on a "Haunted Lighthouses" series on the history channel. Her ghost supposedly roams the grounds. Maybe searching for another song since she had such bad luck with the first one. I seem to recall that her husband had the piano delivered for fear of her going insane from the solitude only to discover that she knew only 1 song. Now who's going to go insane?

I just went back to the tape of "Haunted Lighthouses" and looked up that story. They said that they didn't have any names but it happened around 1850 or so.
