I added my wishes to the "Role Call of States" thread but it was rather a bah humbug affair. So now that it's Christmas Eve and I'm more in the mood I'll post my wishes here that everyone here in the forums and their families have a wonderful Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year!

I'd also like to add a special thanks to those of you who have sent holiday greetings, both via email and the more traditional snail mail.

Ahh. Of course, I was looking at what was THERE and not what was NOT there. No L and No E.

Kind of reminded me of the puzzle of the week from Sunday's NPR program. About the uniqueness of the name of John Milk. No other name like it...

My wife came up with the answer right away. It contains 8 consecutive letters HIJKLMNO.

Off the original topic....My late brother had two vanity plates in Virginia, one was the aforementioned ABCD FG (now on another brother's car in Maryland) and the other was "XOPH R". His name was Christopher Nohe. He was a clever man.
