From Bob Trapani, Jr. of the Delaware River and Bay Lighthouse Foundation Hello Everyone, FYI -- The DRBLHF held its first work trip to Liston Range Rear Light on August 21st. The crew worked on a variety of house-cleaning activities and assessed future projects that volunteers will be able to assist with...such as landscape items and safety / operational improvements inside the lighthouse and oil house. Much of the work that will be required to restore the lighthouse will be done by professionals in conjunction with the Delaware State Historic Preservation Office and U.S. Coast Guard...but that being said, DRBLHF volunteers can still have a big hand in the effort by helping with the fundraising side of the light's long-term preservation needs. http://www.delawarebaylights.org/preservation_liston_worktrip082104.htm Thanks Bob for keeping us all informed and for all of the work you do to preserve our historic lighthouses for future generations! All my best, Paul Conlin Secretary, ALF
