I saw the commercial for the new Denzel Washington movie (he stars and directs) and it appears to be a movie with ties to the Naval Base in San Diego as they show Old Point Loma in the commercial.

The title is Antwone Fisher and is based on a true story. Denzel plays a Navy Pscychiatrist helping a troubled sailor

There is also a new movie coming out with Steve Seagal called Out of a Kill, they have Alcatraz in it. It kind of looks like a movie similar to The Rock - the one with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery. Unfortunately in The Rock, they shoot up the first-order fresnel lens in the movie, but it's good none-the-less and Sean Connery is in it. Need I say more??? :p

The lighthouse featured in The Rock was totally bogus. It was "down the hill" from the real Alcatraz lighthouse. Nothing like it ever existed on Alcatraz island.

How about any lighthouse and the A-Team?? I recently watched one of the old shows, and Point Vicente was very prominently featured. Terrorists were staging from there. Got a little concerned when they started to open fire with automatic weapons in the watch room. . . . . .

I'll still go with the Lighthouse by itself.

Not an A Team or Stephen Segal fan.

Remember the Sci-Fi series "V"? Towards the end of the series, they (the good guys!) had a headquarters inside of Point Vicente! In the show, there were tunnels under the lighthouse, hidden from those nasty aliens!

It seems that Pointe Vincente gets around- that's the 4th movie or TV show I read that it's been in.

I guess it's location helps- not too far for the production people to go.

The general beauty of Point Vicente doesn't hurt either!
