That's good news. However that story seems to be missing a few paragraphs. I have obtained the original story submitted to the editor and found these additional words which did not make the publication.
The Point Albino Association, a group of snooty homeowners living in the guard-gated area near the lighthouse, believe that they should be able to prevent non-property owners from visiting the publicly-owned lighthouse. The group has fought every effort to allow public access, however limited, to the historic beacon.
"We don't want any low-life WACKOs in our neighborhood just to photograph the lighthouse," said J. Arthur Smyth III, President of the Assoication. "Having these camera-lugging Yankees around at all hours of the daytime will only violate our privacy and threaten our exclusive lifestyle, eh."
Sue LeFever, Phoenix NY, a spokesperson for the 'Yankee WACKOs' had this reaction to Smyth's comments...
