Also on display inside will be part of Sherman's extensive miniature lighthouse collection. He has amassed nearly 200 figurines in just a few years, but can't explain his fascination with lighthouses.

I wonder who is the manufacturer of his lighthouse collection? Could he be a Harbour Lights collector?

"I'm probably like a lot of other people who have seen lighthouses all over the country and toured them and developed an interest in them. There's no significance there. I never collected anything in my life. A lot of people collect coins, stamps, what have you. I just decided one day that I had a significant fascination with lighthouses," Sherman said.
Let's make him an honorary WACKO. Sounds like he's well-qualified.

Wow, that's some lighthouse! But someone should tell Mr. Sherman that PA has another lighthouse, Turtle Rock in Philly. smile

If you count private lights, there is also a light on Presque Isle (built in the early 1900s) called the 'Erie Waterworks Light'. I believe the ferry service from downtown to Presque Isle use it as a private aid now. That one is always skipped in the typical count. We've snapped shots of it a couple times. Cute little light too!

I forgot about that light Rod. I did see it when I visited Erie a few years ago. Here is a website with some photos for those interested...
