According to an article in the Columbus Dispatch, the state of Ohio bought 10 acres adjacent to the lighthouse at a cost of 2.5 mil. The purchase is pending approval by the state controlling board. This is good news as this great light is so confined and all the best photo ops have been on nearby private property. Bud

Marblehead was being refurbished. Does anyone know if it's been completed yet?

It is not done yet Randy. I believe I read where it will be mid-to-late summer before it is finished.

When we visited Marblehead last August, they were very proud of the fact that they would be undergoing renovations this year. They said that the state had not realized what a valuable resource this property was! Once they were finally convinced, funds were released. It is a very nice park-- we even had a picnic lunch on the grounds. I am excited for them- it should be a source of pride for the state of Ohio!
