Well congress is at it again, this time in a good way. It seems that U.S. Senator Spence Abraham R-MI, and Congressman Pete Hoekstra R-Holland, MI have announced that they have convinced the U.S.C.G. not to silence fog signals in Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon, and seven other Lake Michigan Harbors.

Fog Signals each cost approx. $2,000 per year to operate and were planned for removal as a cost saving measure. Only the persuasion from the good U.S. Senator and MI congressman was able to save the signals. My thanks to you both!
