Cape Mears must be among the shortest. Listed at 38 feet on this website, it is said to sit on a 200 foot cliff. http://zuma.lib.utk.edu/lights/meares.htmlJim

Portland Breakwater Light, in South Portland, Maine, is right at sea level, and stands only 13 feet high. I think it takes the prize as shortest tower in the country.

Brant Point Light at Nantucket is a "shortie". Full Moon high tide brings the water fairly close to the base of the light. Bob ")

Castle Hill, RI is a short one too.
Wave after wave will flow in the tide and bury the world as it does.

When HL's sculpts me with my lantern the record will stand at 5'8". But don't you normally work in a 6' deep hole in the ground? That would make the actual height a -4". This would definitely be a contender for the record! Could probably get the overall height to a positive number if you held the lantern up above your head... Dave
