Interesting!
Is this the same Nantucket that used to be in Bridgeport, CT? I think there are currently three Nantucket lightships in existence.

I think it's the one that was in the Boston area, and was headed for Staten Island.

She's LV-112, built in 1936. She was stationed mostly in Nantucket, with a short diversion as a relief vessel. After retirement in 1975, she was laid up in Chelsea, MA, then delivered to WHOI and used as a museum, later sold to Nantucket Lightship Preservation Inc., restored and used as a floating museum by that group.
